Scott MacPherson

Scott_MacPherson

Mr. MacPherson joined the firm in July 2019, after working at a law firm in midtown Manhattan on residential real estate closings as well as evictions, partitions, and estate work. This work built on Mr. MacPherson’s prior experience as In-House Counsel at a newly-formed, large property management firm in Buffalo, New York, where he undertook business planning, evictions, housing court matters, and closings for the firm and its properties which include over 600 rental units.

After completing his term as In-House Counsel, Mr. MacPherson worked at a nonprofit in Rochester, New York, expanding and creating programs serving communities without access to legal representation across 7 counties with family, immigration, housing, and other civil matters. His work was recognized throughout the state, and he was asked to present at several New York State Bar Association conferences demonstrating how his programs could be recreated here in New York City and its boroughs. With his programs running successfully, and seeking a new challenge, Mr. MacPherson went into criminal defense work before coming to the New York City area seeking new opportunities and to return to his passion—real estate law. Mr. MacPherson also works seasonally for a bar exam review course where he educates future lawyers on the law and how to improve their legal writing.
Mr. MacPherson received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, and his B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in gender studies from Ithaca College. He is admitted to practice in New York.
